    ROCK HILL, S.C. --- A school record 204 Tusculum University student-athletes have been named to the 2019-2020 South Atlantic Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll, which was announced on Monday. The conference had 2,175 student-athletes from the league’s 12 member institutions honored for their achievements in the classroom.

    ROCK HILL, S.C. --- Tusculum University women’s volleyball student-athlete Alyssa Rojas has been awarded the South Atlantic Conference’s McGriff Minority Postgraduate Scholarship announced league officials Tuesday. Mars Hill University tennis player Kyrel Trim was the male recipient of this year’s postgraduate scholarship.

    GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- Dee Alford and Nicole McMillen were named the 2019-2020 Tusculum University Athletes of the Year during the athletic department’s virtual awards show Friday night. The event, which is held annually at the department’s end of the year athletic banquet, was done virtually due to the coronavirus pandemic.

    GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- Tusculum University and the South Atlantic Conference continue to assess the impact of COVID-19 in consultation with public health and medical professionals, as such the SAC Presidents Council has made the decision to cancel all spring athletics competition and practice for the remainder of the 2019-20 academic year. This includes all SAC spring sports championships.

    LEXINGTON, Ky. --- Tusculum University women’s volleyball outside hitter Emiah Burrowes was announced as the Division II Southeast Region Freshman of the Year, as released Wednesday by the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA). The Wesley Chapel, North Carolina native also earned a spot on the All-Region squad for her performance.

Burrowes earned the conference’s Freshman of the Year, along with a second team accolade, and a spot on the All-Freshman Team. Carmichael joined Burrowes on the rookie squad, while Gray collected an Honorable Mention nod.
