Ricardo Da Silva is entering his second season on the coaching staff with the Tusculum University men's soccer program.

Da Silva assists with all aspects of the Pioneer program, serving as head coach of the junior varsity program, which posted a perfect 8-0 record last year.  He also coordinates the men's soccer strength and conditioning program as serves as the assistant director of the Pioneer Soccer School camp program.

He played his collegiate career at Tusculum from 2013-2016 where he played in 49 matches including 45 starts on the defensive back line.  He finished with three goals and two assists for his eight points.  In 2016, he was a preseason selection to the All-South Atlantic Conference team. During his four season, the Pioneers posted a 42-26-5 overall record which including two SAC Tournament Championships and a 2016 berth to the NCAA Division II Tournament.

In his junior season, he led the team playing in 1,559 minutes, tallying two goals for his four points on the year. As a sophomore he earned a spot on the SAC All-Tournament team as he played in every minute in TU's SAC Tournament championship run. He recorded the match-winning assist in Tusculum's 2-1 double-overtime win over No. 20 Wingate in the championship game. TU finished that season with an 11-6-3 overall record. In 2016 during his senior season, Tusculum opened the year with a program-record 12 straight wins and ended the season with a 16-4 record, won the SAC Tournament for a second time in three seasons and finished with a No. 24 national ranking.

Da Silva is very active in youth club soccer and has been a fixture with the very successful Greeneville Galaxy Soccer Association since 2014 where he serves as a technical director and coach.  His club experience also includes the Erie (Pa.) Admirals Soccer Club from 2015-2017 where he served as a summer camp coordinator.

Da Silva is fluent in three languages including English, Portuguese and Spanish.  He graduated from Tusculum in 2017 with a bachelor of arts degree in sport management where he was a member of the Tusculum Athletic Director's Honor Roll.  He is completing his master of arts degree in teaching (physical education K-12) and is serving as a student teacher at Greeneville High School.
