JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. --- Members of the Tusculum University indoor track & field teams competed Friday on the opening day of the Buccaneer Indoor Track & Field Invitational, held on the campus of East Tennessee State University.

For the Tusculum men, Zackary Nelson moved into Saturday's finals in the 200 meters, while the Pioneer women were paced by personal-best times in both the 60 and 200 meters from Aliyah Adderley.

A handful of competitors will see action on Saturday in the final day of the meet.

MEN'S RECAP
Nelson advanced to the finals in the 200 by running 22.05 in preliminaries, the eighth-fastest time in school history and good for third on the program performance list. Devan Hart was 16th in 22.54 and Stephen Brewer placed 26th in 22.97 seconds.

Nelson also advanced in the 60 meters, running 7.12 in preliminaries and finishing 19th with a semifinal time of 7.10 seconds. In the 400 meters, Xavion Bogus ran 52.34 to take eighth place on the performance list in the event.

WOMEN'S RECAP
Adderley advanced out of preliminaries in the 60 meters, taking 22nd with a time of 8.12 seconds. Adderley would be eliminated in the semifinals, but not before running a personal best of 8.00 seconds that is fourth-fastest in program history.

In the 200 meters, Kenisha Stubbs placed 13th overall in 26.31 seconds, which is good for fifth on the program performance list. Adderley was 19th in the 200 in 26.59 and is 10th-best in program history in the event. Destiny Lottie was the top finisher for the Pioneers in the 400 meters, taking 30th overall in 1:03.60 with I'Keriah Day in 31st at 1:03.69.
