GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- The Tusculum University Spirit Squad has entered into a partnership agreement with Winter and Company Dance Studio ahead of the 2024-25 season.

WCDS began operations in 1994 under the instruction of Jamie Winter, as a rebrand of the Joyce Daniel's School of Dance. Her daughter, Jalissa (Winter) Worley, now owns the studio with guidance from her mother. The Winter duo are both Tusculum alumni and the studio is Dance Masters of America certified. 

"When I walked into WCDS and met Jalissa, it was an instant partnership," said TU head coach Trea King. "She was so passionate about her studio and dancers that I knew I was in the right place. We will be using her studio for dance practice and clinics. Jalissa will also help with our music and certain dance choreography. She is the right person that loves Tusculum University and dance; it is the perfect combination!"

"I was blown away by Coach King's personality and drive for this team," said Worley. "Tusculum didn't have a dance program when I was there, but now that it does, I am so excited to be a part of the Pioneers again through dance!"

Located at 229 West Summer Street in Greeneville, Tennessee, Winter and Company Dance Studio offers classes in ballet/pointe, tap, jazz, hip hop, and acrobatics in a facility with a spring floor. The studio also has lyrical, contemporary, and musical theater sessions.
