Former Tusculum pitcher Nick Flesher was named to the Pioneer coaching staff as a graduate assistant coach in Summer 2021. Flesher will assist with all aspects of the TU program including strength & conditioning, practice implementation, analytics, academic advisement and player development.

He was a member of Tusculum's weekend starting rotation for the 2020 and 2021 seasons as he went went 7-1 with a 5.67 ERA. In his 16 starts for the Black & Orange, he pitched in 79.1 innings where he recorded 60 strikeouts against 29 walks. He was a perfect 4-0 in his final collegiate season where the Pioneers posted a 30-11 record including 25-7 in South Atlantic Conference play to finish runner-up in the league. He was a member of the SAC Commissioner's Honor Roll and the Tusculum Athletic Director's Honor Roll.

Prior to his two seasons at Tusculum, he played the 2019 campaign at Southeastern Louisiana and two years prior, he starred at Spokane Falls Community College. While at Spokane Falls he earned NWAC All-Conference and ABCA All-Region accolades. 

The Meridian, Idaho native was an All-State and All-Conference pitcher at Mountain View High School. He also has previous playing experience in the Alaska Baseball League, West Coast League and the Expedition League.

He graduated from Tusculum in May 2021 where he earned his undergraduate degree while majoring in sport management.
