Jamila Thombs is entering her second season on the Tusculum Athletic Department staff and first where she is coordinating the efforts of the Pioneer Club and Special Events.

She served as a graduate assistant for the TU Athletics during the 2021-22 academic year where her duties included game day management, ticket management and work study supervision. She assisted with the Pioneer Student Athlete Advisory Committee, NCAA compliance, fundraising, special events and special projects.

In the summer of 2022, Thombs served as the ticket sales intern with the Greeneville FlyBoys Baseball Team. She was responsible for game day ticket sales, season passes and single-game ticketing. She also assisted with game day operations and customer service.

The Toronto, Ontario native starred on the collegiate soccer pitch for four seasons including her first two campaigns at Schoolcraft College (2016-2017) and the last two seasons at Tusculum (2019-2020). She played in 47 career matches where she recorded 27 goals and seven assists for her 61 total points. In 2017, she scored 21 goals which ranked her 24^th in the nation and earned a spot on the NJCAA All-Tournament Team. Included in her goal tally where eight match-winners.

She earned her associates degree in liberal arts from Schoolcraft College in 2019 and later completed her Bachelor of Arts from Tusculum in 2021 while majoring in sports science.  She earned her Master of Business Administration from Tusculum in 2022.
