GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- Tusculum College head
cross country coach Cory Pratt has announced the signing of Lindsey
Mank of Smithton, Illinois as a member of the Pioneers women's
cross country team's 2015 signing class.
Mank comes to Tusculum after lettering in cross country and
track at Freeburg Community High School under the direction of Carl
Florczyk and John Brentlinger. She was a three-time All-Conference,
All-County and All-Area selection and was a part of four conference
championships, three regional championships and two sectional
championships.
Mank also helped Freeburg to a fifth place finish at the
Illinois State Championships as a freshman and an eighth place
finish in her senior campaign. She owns a career-best 5,000-meter
time of 20:24 and her top three-mile effort is 19:36. Mank also
owns personal-best marks of 2:28.85 in the 800 meter, 5:59 in the
1,600 meter and 12:20 in the 3,200 meter.
"I'm excited that Lindsey will be joining our program this
fall," said Pratt. "She brings a great deal of passion for the
sport and has the ability and experience to impact our women's
program immediately."
Mank joins Mackenzie, Newsome of Lewisville, North Carolina as
2015 freshman for the Pioneer harriers.
Tusculum is scheduled to compete in five regular season meets
this season beginning on September 4th at the Catawba/Chick-Fil-A
Invitational in Salisbury, North Carolina. The South Atlantic
Conference Championship will take place on October 24th in Ewing,
Virginia while the NCAA II Southeast Regional will be held in
Wingate, North Carolina on November 7th.
