JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. --- Tusculum College
men's cross country runners Lawson Burrow and Jacob Cutshall
represented the Pioneers at this past weekend's East Tennessee
State University Indoor Track and Field Invitational in Johnson
City.
Burrow, a junior from Greeneville, Tennessee, competed in the
5,000-meter event and brought home a 12th place finish with a time
of 16:41.67. King University senior Connor Hatfield won the event
with a time of 15:55.62.
Cutshall, a freshman from Jonesborough, Tennessee, posted a
time of 4:50.76 to earn 22nd place honors in the one mile run.
Jacob Simmons of Tennessee Wesleyan took top honors in the event
after posting a time of 4:25.81.
Burrow had the second-fastest time in three events for the
Pioneers in 2014, and recorded his career-best 8,000-meter time of
27:38.47 at the Greater Louisville Classic on Oct. 4. Cutshall was
alsco Tusculum's second scorer in three events last season, and set
his season-best 8,000-meter time of 28:22.87 at the Greater
Louisville Classic.
