GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- Paige Bible has signed a
national letter of intent to attend Tusculum College and run cross
country for the Pioneers announced TC head coach Suzanne Byrd.
Bible, a local product from Greeneville High School, was a valuable
member of a Greene Devils program that won back-to-back Blue Ridge
Athletic Conference Championships, including the 2010 TSSAA State
Championship. While at GHS, Bible's teams captured two region
titles and finished as State Runner-up in 2011.
"We are excited to have Paige join our team. She is a highly talented runner who will make an immediate impact on our team," said Coach Byrd. "I think she will only continue to improve and I look forward to working with her on a daily basis."
Bible has recorded personal best times of 19:56 in the 5,000-meters and 12:41.72 for 3,200-meters. She has posted a personal best time of 12:30.75 for the two-mile run and 5:54.81 for the 1,600-meter run. She has also competed in the 1,500-meter steeplechase with a personal best time of 6:57.10.
Tusculum College, located in Greeneville, Tenn., is affiliated with the Presbyterian Church (USA) and is a NCAA Division II member of the South Atlantic Conference which is comprised of 10 colleges and universities in Tennessee, North Carolina and South Carolina.
