GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- Lizzie Kaster has signed a national letter of intent to attend Tusculum College and run cross country for the Pioneers announced Pioneer head coach Suzanne Byrd.
Kaster, a native of Lexington, Va., comes to the Greeneville
campus from Rockbridge County High School.
She posted a 5,000-meter time of 24:07 at the RoCo11 and has
recorded 400 meter times of 1:03.70 and 1:04.94 and her personal
best 100 meter time of 13.62 seconds. She has also competed in the
200 meter and 500 meter distances, while also competing on the
Rockbridge "A" 4 x 800m team.
"We are excited to have Lizzie join our team," said Byrd. "I know she will be a solid collegiate cross country runner whose times are only going to get better in the 5K distance. I'm looking forward to her bubbly personality and leadership abilities, and the impact they will have on our women's team."
Tusculum College, located in Greeneville, Tenn., is affiliated with the Presbyterian Church, USA, and is a NCAA Division II member of the South Atlantic Conference which is comprised of 10 colleges and universities in Tennessee, North Carolina and South Carolina.
