ROCK HILL, S.C. --- Tusculum College's Alicja Dembna has been named to the 2007 Preseason All-South Atlantic Conference Women's Cross Country Second Team announced league officials Wednesday.

Dembna, a 5-5 junior from Osterway, Poland, finished 24th at last year's SAC Championship with a time of 21:31.70 on the 5,000-meter course.

The 2005 SAC All-Freshmen Team honoree recorded five, top 15 showings, including a third place finish at last year's Tusculum Invitational.

The Pioneers open the season Sep. 8 when they host the 2007 Tusculum College Invitational at the Greene Valley Development Center.

The Preseason All-SAC Cross Country Team is selected by a vote of the league's eight sports information directors.
