SALISBURY, N.C. --- Tusculum College's Alicja
Dembna and Brooke Underwood finished eighth and 13th respectively
at the 2007 Food Lion South Atlantic Conference Cross Country
championship. The TC women and men each finished seventh in their
respective meets.
By finishing in the top 14, both Dembna and Underwood earn All-SAC
Second Team honors.
Dembna posted a time of 20:19.19 on the 5,000-meter course, while
Underwood finished at 20:35.86. Underwood, running in her first and
only season for the Pioneers, earns All-SAC honors for a second
time in her career. She garnered All-SAC Second Team recognition in
2005-06 with the TC Women's basketball team.
Jenny Dold finished 42nd with her time of 22:54.04, while Khirstin
Two Crow placed 52nd at 24:24.30. Anne Brady rounded out the
Tusculum scoring, finishing 70th at 27:34.71.
In the men's 8K race, freshman Simon Holzapfel finished 20th with
a time of 27:19.65, while Donald White place 39th at 29:08.39. Ben
Hale finished 58th with 31:29.96, while Conner Graves (38:21.18 -
71st) and Jason Seaton (38:29.83 - 72nd) rounded out the Tusculum
scoring.
