Melissa Mazur signs with Tusculum Volleyball
GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- Tusculum College head volleyball coach Michael Robinson has announced the signing of Melissa Mazur of Chicago, Illinois as one of the final members of the Pioneers' incoming 2015 class.

Mazur joins Victoria Dierickx of Greenville, South Carolina, Kayla Hartley of Mishawaka, Indiana, and Ally Soldati of Lenoir, North Carolina as Tusculum signees from the most recent spring signing period.

Mazur comes to TC after lettering at John F. Kennedy High School and playing with the Chicago Elite Volleyball Club. She is also a 5-5 libero and led the Crusaders to the 2014 City Championship as a captain while earning Tournament MVP honors. Off the court, Mazur was presented with the Kennedy Angel Award after earning over 100 community service hours.

"Melissa's volleyball IQ will be one of the highest on our roster," said Robinson, "and we are excited about the leadership, experience, and knowledge she is bringing with her to TC. She is an outstanding defender, but has also played every position and has learned every aspect of the game."

Mazur and the three other spring commitments join early signees Cassie Born and Madison Shumaker as the six members of TC's highly touted 2015 freshman class.

Tusculum will be looking to build off its ninth-straight winning season and its fourth place finish in the South Atlantic Conference in 2014. The Pioneers return two All-SAC performers from last season and a pair of seniors.
