GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- Peyton Colclough has signed a national letter of intent to attend Tusculum College and play volleyball for the Pioneers announced TC head coach Nathan Baker.

Colclough (pronounced - Coal-Claw), a 5-10 setter hitter from Manassas, Va., comes to Tusculum following a stellar prep career at Forest Park High School where she was coached by Dan Jones. "Peyton has all the tools to be a phenomenal setter in the South Atlantic Conference," said Baker. "She's a very strong player that has the will to win at any cost. We're very fortunate to have a player of Peyton's caliber on our squad."

Her last two prep teams advanced to the Virginia AAA State Quarterfinals, including the 2006 squad that advanced to the State semifinals, while posting a 22-5 record. This year's squad went 22-4 while she earned All-Cardinal District First Team recognition. In 2006, she was named to the Potomac News All-Area First Team squad while earning the VHSL Award of Excellence. In 2005, she was also named to the All-District Second Team.

She has eight years of club volleyball experience, including the last three playing for the Ichiban Samurai 18s. The 2007 squad was the top-ranked team in Virginia where she was named her team's most valuable player. In 2005 and 2006, Colclough played for two teams that advanced to the USA Girls Volleyball National Championships. In 2006, her Clash VBC 17-1 Passion won the CHRVA Regional Championship. In 2005, her NOVA 16-1 Hokuleas squad finished as CHRVA Regional Runner-up.

Off the court, Colclough is a member of the National Honor Society and is a three-time VHSL Scholar Athlete (2004-07). She is an Award of Merit recipient at the Prince William County Art Exhibit and was the 2004-05 recipient Presidents Award for Educational Excellence.

Tusculum posted a 25-10 record in 2007, including 11-3 in South Atlantic Conference play, finishing second in the league.
