Tusculum College cruised to a 9-0 victory over Baldwin Wallace
College in non-conference Women's tennis action at the Spring Break
Bash Monday afternoon.
The Pioneers (7-2) dropped just two games in doubles and won all
six singles matches by straight sets against the Division III
Yellow Jackets (1-5).
In doubles play, Tusculum received an 8-1 win from Kate Hutchinson
and Megan Buckmaster at flight one over Rebecca Mittler and Kelsey
Blatt, and at flight two Taylor Patterson and Erin Mills beat
Mackenzi Baker and Morgan Baker 8-1. At flight three, Amanda Sumner
and Emily Waters won 8-0 over Mackenzie Donalson and Whitney
Yoder.
Singles play saw Hutchinson defeat Mittler 6-0, 6-2 at flight one,
Patterson over Blatt 6-2, 6-1 at flight two and Mills win 6-1, 6-2
over Morgan Baker. At flight four, Waters won 6-2, 6-0 over
Donalson, Adrienne Kaye was a 7-5, 6-4 victory over Danielle Rueger
at flight five and Megan Buckmaster bested Mackenzi Baker 6-2,
6-0.
The Pioneers will continue their Spring Break trip on Tuesday
morning at 8 a.m. against Charleston (W. Va.).
