Tusculum Women's tennis falls from unbeaten ranks in 8-1 loss to Young Harris

GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- The Young Harris women's tennis team handed host Tusculum its first loss of the season in an 8-1 decision at the Nichols Tennis Complex.

The Mountain Lions (3-1) swept all three doubles points, including an 8-6 pro set win by the No. 2 doubles pair of Charlotte Moreau and Carolina Hernandez.

Young Harris posted straight set wins in the first three singles flights to clinch the match.

Tusculum's Adrienne Kaye salvaged a point in the fifth flight with her 6-3, 6-4 win over Hernandez.

The Pioneers (2-1) will host Lees-McRae on Sunday for a 1 p.m. match at the Nichols Tennis Complex.
