Tusculum listed 11th in ITA DII Region Rankings

SKILLMAN, N.J. --- The Tusculum College women's tennis team is listed 11th in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association's Division II Southeast Region rankings announced officials Thursday.

The Pioneers are 15-1 overall and are currently in first place in the South Atlantic Conference with a perfect 6-0 record. Tusculum is riding a nine-match winning streak and has won its last 18 SAC contests. The last time TC lost a league tilt was March 26, 2008 in a 5-4 loss at Carson-Newman College.

Armstrong Atlantic State University is the top ranked team in the region and the nation. Columbus State University is second in the region, followed by Clayton State University, Francis Marion University, Flagler College, Augusta State University, Georgia College & State University, Lander University, Queens University of Charlotte, Erskine College, Tusculum and Lees-McRae College.

Tusculum returns to action on Friday as they travel to in-state rival Lincoln Memorial University for a 1 p.m. match in Harrogate, Tenn.
