GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- The Tusculum College women's tennis team recorded its ninth consecutive victory as the Pioneers defeated Mars Hill College 8-1 Tuesday afternoon at the Nichols Tennis Complex in South Atlantic Conference action.

The Pioneers (15-1, 6-0 SAC) swept all three doubles points, including an 8-2 pro set win by the No. 3 pairing of Blake Thompson and Katie Hills over Mars Hill's Krystal Moore and Jordan Dockery.

MHC's Erika Pinate accounted for the Lions (2-9, 1-3 SAC) only win of the day as she posted a 6-1, 6-2 victory over TC's Katelyn Doss.

Tusculum garnered singles victories by Courtney Conley, Taylor Patterson, Caroline Crowe, Megan Buckmaster and Thompson.

The Pioneers return to action on Friday as they travel to Lincoln Memorial University for a 1 p.m. contest.
