GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- The Tusculum College women's tennis team won its fourth straight victory as the Pioneers blanked the University of Virginia's College at Wise, 9-0 Tuesday afternoon at the Nichols Tennis Complex.
Tusculum improves to 10-1 on the season, while the Highland Cavaliers (0-1) fall in their season-opener.
TC dropped only two points as the Pioneers swept doubles action, including an 8-0 pro set victory at the third flight by the duo Blake Thompson and Katie Hillis.
The Pioneers swept all six doubles points, including victories by Katelyn Doss, Courtney Conley, Taylor Patterson, Megan Buckmaster, Kristen Keefer and Thompson.
Tusculum returns to South Atlantic Conference play on Friday afternoon as the Pioneers host Wingate University for a 2 p.m. match at the Nichols Tennis Complex.
