GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- Taylor Patterson recorded a pair of points, including the deciding tally at No. 3 singles to lead the undefeated Tusculum College women's tennis team to a 9-0 victory over North Greenville University Friday afternoon at the Nichols Tennis Complex.

The Pioneers (6-0) record their sixth straight victory, while the Crusaders fall to 3-4 on season.

Tusculum started the afternoon with a three-point sweep in doubles play, including an 8-0 pro set victory by the No. 3 duo of Kristen Keefer and Megan Buckmaster. Patterson and Courtney Conley won their No. 2 doubles match 8-6, while Caroline Crowe and Katelyn Doss were victorious 8-5 at the top flight.

Doss posted a straight set win over North Greenville' Salem Erni, 6-0, 6-3, while Conley rallied from a set down to beat NGU's Katherine Shaw 3-6, 6-4, 10-6 at the top two flights. Patterson sealed the fifth point with her 6-2, 6-4 win at No. 3 singles over Cassie Curtis.

Blake Thompson, Katie Hillis and Crowe recorded singles wins to seal the victory for the Pioneers.

Tusculum will be on the road for five matches next week, all in the State of South Carolina. The Pioneers will travel to Florence on Saturday to take on fourth-ranked Francis Marion University for a 2 p.m. match. It will be TC's third match in as many days.
