ROCK HILL, S.C. --- Three Tusculum College players have been named to the 2009 All-South Atlantic Conference Women's Tennis Team announced league officials at Thursday's SAC Tennis Banquet. Jennifer Sparks was named to the All-SAC First Team, while Katelyn Doss and Amanda Pike garnered Second Team honors.

Sparks, a 5-4 senior from Missouri City, Texas, earns All-SAC First Team honors for the second time in her career. Sparks posted a 10-7 record at No. 1 singles, including 4-4 in SAC play. Sparks and Pike also posted a 14-3 record at No. 2 doubles, including a perfect 8-0 slate in league action.

Doss, a 5-3 sophomore from Bristol, Va., earns All-SAC Second Team accolades for a second straight year. Doss went 9-7 in singles, including 5-2 in SAC play. Doss and teammate Caroline Crowe have gone 12-6 at No. 1 doubles (6-2 in SAC).

Pike, a 5-3 senior from Elizabethton, Tenn., garners All-SAC honors for the first time in her storied career. Pike went 12-8 in singles, including 5-3 in SAC matches.

The Pioneers (17-4) have won nine of their last 10 contests, en route to a perfect 8-0 league mark and their fourth SAC Championship. TC is the No. 1 seed in the Food Lion South Atlantic Conference Tournament and will face No. 4 seed Brevard College Friday at noon from the Rock Hill Tennis Center in Rock Hill, S.C.
