ASHLAND DEFEATS Women's TENNIS, 6-3

Jennifer Sparks HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. --- The Ashland University women's tennis team defeated No. 27 Tusculum College 6-3 Wednesday morning at Hilton Head Island. The Pioneers fall to 8-3 overall and wrap up their spring break trip to Hilton Head.

The Eagles improve to 17-6 on the season, while Tusculum falls to 8-3 overall.

The No. 2 doubles pair of Amanda Pike and Jennifer Sparks accounted for an 8-4 victory over Paola Oruzco and Corrine Pasley. Sparks added a singles point at the No. 1 flight, while Caroline Crowe won at No. 6 singles.

Tusculum returns to action Saturday, March 21 as the Pioneers travel to North Greenville University for a 1 p.m. match.
