SALISBURY, N.C. --- Carly Mill's goal in the 22nd minute proved to be all the offense needed in Tusculum's 1-0 victory at Catawba Saturday night at Frock Field in South Atlantic Conference women's soccer action.

Tusculum goalkeeper Miriah Martin accounted for seven saves while recording her fifth shutout of the season and third in her last four starts.

With the win, the Pioneers (9-6-1, 5-3-1 SAC) clinch a berth in South Atlantic Conference Tournament for a 17th consecutive year.

Mill notched her seventh goal of the year at the 21:20 mark of the match, which was assisted by Katja Anderson for her third helper of 2015.

Catawba (3-12, 2-8 SAC) owned a 15-7 advantage in shots, including a 7-4 differential in shots on goal. Tusculum edged the Catawba Indians 4-3 in corner kicks. TC's Taylor Lewis led all players with four shots, including two on frame, while Mill finished the match with three shots.

The Pioneers return home on Tuesday when they host arch-rival Carson-Newman for a 5 p.m. match at Pioneer Field. Tusculum enters the contest riding a SAC five-match winning streak and have won six of their last seven outings overall.
