KANSAS CITY, Mo. --- The Tusculum College
women's soccer team is listed ninth in this week's National
Collegiate Soccer Coaches Association/NCAA Division II Southeast
Region Poll.
The Pioneers (3-2, 0-0 SAC) climb into the regional top-10 followed
a perfect 3-0 record last week with wins over King (4-0), Union
(Tenn.) (3-1) and Ohio Dominican (5-0).
North Georgia is the top-ranked team in the region, while South Atlantic Conference member Lenoir-Rhyne is second. Columbus State is third, followed by Wingate, Clayton State, Armstrong State, Belmont Abbey, Limestone, Tusculum and Flagler wrap up this week's regional poll.
Three future Tusculum opponents are in this week's region rankings including No. 2 Lenoir-Rhyne, No. 4 Wingate and No. 7 Belmont Abbey.
The NSCAA Rankings are an indicator of week-to-week status of qualified programs and in no way should be used as a guide or indicator of eligibility for NCAA championship selection.
The Pioneers will open league play Wednesday when they travel to Queens University of Charlotte for a 5 p.m. contest. TC will wrap up the week with Saturday's night's clash against 13th-ranked Lenoir-Rhyne in Hickory, North Carolina.
