NASHVILLE, Tenn. --- Tusculum College forward
Taylor Lewis has been named the Tennessee Sports Writers'
Association College Women's Soccer Player of the Week.
Lewis, a senior from Willingboro, New Jersey, registered four goals
and an assist for her nine total points in leading the Pioneers to
a perfect 3-0 record last week.
The 2014 All-South Atlantic Conference first team selection posted a goal and an assist in Tusculum's 4-0 road victory at King University last Wednesday. She followed two days later by notching the match-winner in Tusculum's 3-1 victory over Union (Tenn.) University on Friday. She closed out the week with a pair of second half goals in TC's 5-0 win over Ohio Dominican University on Sunday.
In her 62 career matches, Lewis has scored 25 goals, which are the ninth most in program history, while her 10 career match-winner are the fifth most in school history.
Tusculum (3-2, 0-0 SAC) opens conference play on Wednesday as the Pioneers travel to Queens University of Charlotte for a 5 p.m. contest.
