GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- The Tusculum College women's soccer team won its third consecutive match with Wednesday's 4-0 South Atlantic Conference win over Brevard College at Pioneer Field.

The Pioneers (8-3-1, 4-1-0 SAC) have scored four goals in each contest during its three-match winning streak. This marks the first time since 2010 that a TC squad has scored four or more goals in three straight outings.

Freshman Payton DeHart recorded a goal and an assist on the day, while junior Courtney Hackney dished out a pair of assists for the home team.

Sophomore Shannele Sunderland put the Pioneers on the board in the eighth minute with her fifth goal of the season. The goal was assisted by both DeHart and Hackney.

DeHart and Hackney teamed up for Tusculum's next goal. In the 20th minute, DeHart took a Hackney pass from the right side and sent in a shot from 15 yards out that snuck inside the left post and past BC keeper Jocelyn Springer. For DeHart, it was her third goal of the year.

Tusculum added an own goal in the 56th minute and Olivia Kilgore knocked home a penalty kick goal at the 63:58 mark to account for the TC scoring.

The Tusculum keeper duo of Marissa Williams and Miriah Martin combined on the Pioneers' sixth shutout of the season. Williams played the third 61 minutes, while Martin closed out the final 21 minutes with a pair of saves.

Tusculum out-shot the Tornados (3-8-0, 1-5-0 SAC) by a 16-6 margin, including 10-1 in the opening half. TC also owned the advantage in corner kicks, 8-3.

The Pioneers return to action on Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m. when they host Catawba College for a South Atlantic Conference contest.
