Tusculum climbs back into NSCAA Region Poll

KANSAS CITY, Kansas --- Following a one-week absence, the Tusculum College women's soccer team has returned to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America/Continental Tire Division II Southeast Region Poll. The Pioneers are ranked 10th following a pair of 4-1 road wins last week.

Tusculum (7-3-1, 3-1-0 South Atlantic Conference) was victorious at Lees-McRae College last week before winning at Anderson University on Saturday.

Columbus State University has maintained its stranglehold on the top spot of the region poll as the Cougars are 8-0-1. CSU also moved up to fourth in the national rankings.

The University of North Georgia is second, followed by Clayton State University, Armstrong State University, Lander University, Lincoln Memorial University, Newberry College, Lenoir-Rhyne University, Wingate University and Tusculum.

The NSCAA/Continental Tire College Rankings are an indicator of week-to-week status of qualified programs and in no way should be used as a guide or indicator of eligibility for NCAA championship selection.

Tusculum hosts Brevard College on Wednesday at 5 p.m., before hosting Catawba College this Sunday at 1 p.m. Both matches will be held at Pioneer Field.
