KANSAS CITY, Kansas --- The Tusculum College women's soccer team is listed fourth in this week's National Soccer Coaches Association of America/Continental Tire Division II Southeast Region Poll. The Pioneers are also receiving votes in this week's NSCAA Top-25 poll.

Tusculum (5-1-1, 2-0-0 South Atlantic Conference) climbed one spot from last week's poll as TC went 2-0 with a pair of shutouts of Queens University of Charlotte and Mars Hill University. The Pioneers opened this week's action with a 1-0 win over King University on Monday for TC's fourth consecutive win and five straight shutout.

Tusculum's next opponent, Columbus State University, is the top-ranked team in the Southeast Region and listed sixth nationally. The Cougars (4-0-1) tied Lee University and defeated Peach Belt Conference foe Armstrong State University in their league opener.

Catawba College (5-0-0) remains undefeated and stays in the No. 2 spot in the regional poll, while jumping to 10th in the national rankings. University of North Georgia is third, followed by Tusculum, Lander University, Armstrong, UNC Pembroke, Clayton State University, Lenoir-Rhyne University and Lincoln Memorial University.

The NSCAA/Continental Tire College Rankings are an indicator of week-to-week status of qualified programs and in no way should be used as a guide or indicator of eligibility for NCAA championship selection.

Wednesday's match with Columbus State will kick off at 4 p.m. at Pioneer Field. Tusculum returns to SAC play this Saturday as the Pioneers travel to Wingate University for a 5 p.m. contest.
