Tusculum College freshman forward Taylor Lewis has been named
the South Atlantic Conference Player of the Week in Women's soccer
for the week ending Sept. 23, the conference office announced
Tuesday.
Lewis scored two goals and added an assist to lead the Pioneers to
a pair of SAC victories last week. Against Mars Hill, she scored
the game-winning goal on a header in overtime to give Tusculum a
3-2 victory on Thursday afternoon. In Saturday's match at Anderson,
the freshman from Willingboro, N.J. came off the bench to record a
goal and an assist in the Pioneers' 3-0 win.
In eight matches this season, Lewis has three goals and an assist
for seven points, ranking her third on the team in points and tied
for second in goals.
The Pioneers (6-1-1, 2-0-0 SAC) host Brevard Wednesday night at 7
p.m. in a SAC match from Pioneer Field.
