Tusculum College senior forward Tramicka James was named the
South Atlantic Conference Player of the Week in Women's soccer for
the week ending Sept. 9, the SAC office announced Tuesday. It is
the fifth time in her career that James has earned SAC Player of
the Week honors.
James scored four goals and assisted on another as the Pioneers won
all three of their matches last week, headlined by a 4-0 victory
over eighth-ranked Saint Leo on Friday evening. In that match,
James scored a natural hat trick in the first half.
James, whose 48 career goals rank third in program history, also
scored in the Pioneers' 3-0 victory over Nova Southeastern on
Sunday. The Wilson, N.C. native added an assist as the Pioneers
opened the week with a 3-0 shutout of Concord on Wednesday
afternoon.
Through five games, James has scored five goals, including
three-game winners, and has an assist for a team-high 11 points.
She has at least one point in all four Tusculum victories.
The Pioneers (4-1-0) return to action Wednesday afternoon at 4 p.m.
when they host UNC Pembroke at Pioneer Field.
