GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- Tramicka James scored her second goal of the day with 18 seconds left to give Tusculum College a dramatic 2-1 victory over Catawba College in a South Atlantic Conference Women's soccer match Saturday afternoon at Pioneer Field.

James' 14th goal of the season came following a long pass from Patience Leonard. She gained control about 20 yards out in a double-team, turned and chipped a shot over Catawba keeper Lindsay Webster who had come off her line. The goal, the 42nd of James' career, moved her into third place on the Tusculum career points list with 99.

The Pioneers (9-6-1, 4-3-0 SAC) snapped a four-match winless streak with the victory, narrowly avoiding their fourth straight overtime contest with the late tally. The Indians suffered their second straight loss and dropped to 4-10 overall and 3-5 in SAC play.

James opened the scoring at 20:53 as she headed home a corner kick by Michelle Meade to give Tusculum a 1-0 lead. The Pioneers carried the advantage into the second half, when the Indians tied the score at 1-1 on a goal by Juliana Conte at 56:50.

Tusculum nearly went ahead 2-1 with under 29 minutes to play, but a shot by Jenique Thombs ricocheted off the crossbar to keep the game tied. James then came through with the game-winner to help the Pioneers to their fifth one-goal win of the season.

The Pioneers finished with a 15-9 advantage in shots over the Indians, including an 8-3 margin in the second half, and took six corner kicks to five by Catawba. Marissa Williams finished with three saves in goal for the Pioneers, while Webster tallied five stops for the Indians.

Tusculum will be back in action Wednesday evening at Carson-Newman beginning at 6 p.m.
