Tusculum College sophomore forward Tramicka James and junior
forward Patience Leonard are ranked among the top 25 in several
categories in the latest NCAA Division II Women's soccer
statistics, through games of October 17.
James is ranked in four different categories - total goals (12,
15th), total points (27, 20th), goals per game (0.92, 16th) and
points per game (2.08, 20th) while Leonard is 25th in total assists
with seven and 23rd in assists per game with 0.54.
James, a native of Wilson, N.C., has been on a scoring tear for the
Pioneers, tallying nine goals in the four games leading up to the
latest NCAA statistics report and adding two more in Tuesday's 4-2
win at Lincoln Memorial University. James posted her second
straight hat trick by scoring the game's first three goals in a 4-0
win over Anderson on Saturday afternoon.
Leonard has picked up seven assists in the Pioneers' first 13
matches, and the Greeneville native has a current streak of four
straight matches with at least one assist.
In the team rankings, the Pioneers climbed two spots to 10th
overall in Division II in scoring offense out of 230 teams at an
even 3.00 goals per game, having scored 39 times in their first 13
matches.
Tusculum (8-6 overall, 3-3 SAC) seeks its sixth straight victory
Saturday afternoon at Catawba beginning at 4:30 p.m.
