Women's SOCCER TO HOST BREAST CANCER AWARENESS NIGHT

GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- Head coach Mike Joy and the Tusculum College women's soccer program has joined forces with the Tusculum volleyball program to raise money for breast cancer research. The Pioneers will wear pink practice shirts prior to this Saturday's match against Catawba to help raise awareness.

Tusculum will provide a donation box for anyone interested in pledging money or making a donation during the match. The money raised will be combined with the funds raised by the TC volleyball team's "Dig For The Cure" night at Pioneer Arena this Tuesday. All proceeds will go directly to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation's local affiliate in their community.

The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation was established in 1982 by Nancy Brinker to honor the memory of her sister, Susan G. Komen, who died from breast cancer at the age of 36. Today, the Foundation is an international organization with a network of volunteers working through local affiliates and events like the Komen Race for the Cure® to eradicate breast cancer as a life-threatening disease.

For more information, visit www.komen.org or call the National Toll-Free Breast Care Hotline at 1-800 I'M AWARE® (1-800-462-9273). Anyone interested in pledging money or making a donation to this year's effort can contact Tusculum head coach Mike Joy by emailing him at mjoy@tusculum.edu.
