ROCK HILL, S.C --- Tusculum college
student-athletes Kelsey Crow, Cheyenne Bray, Madison Malone, and
Brooke Wagner have earned 2015 All-South Atlantic Conference
women's lacrosse honors. In addition, Jenna Handshoe has been named
the SAC Coach of the Year.
Crow was a first team selection while Bray garnered second
team honors. Both Malone and Wagner were honorable mention

Handshoe led TC to a third place finish in the SAC in their
inaugural campaign. The Pioneer's overall record sits at 9-4 and
features wins over established conference opponents Wingate,
Newberry and Catawba. Tusculum also defeated fellow first-year
program Lincoln Memorial and earned road wins at non-conference
foes Converse and Shorter.
Handshoe has guided the 19th-ranked scoring offense in DII
with an average of 13.69 goals per game. Overall, the Pioneers rank
in the top 25 in four different national categories including
seventh in ground balls per game (24.92) and 21st in win percentage
(0.692). Handshoe is in her second season at Tusculum and her
fourth season overall as a head coach.
Crow, a junior midfielder, is leading the conference with 51
goals, which also ranks fifth in the nation (NCAA II). She has
tallied 60 total points with the addition of nine assists, which
stands second in the conference and 14th nationally. Crow is the
league leader in shots on goal as 71 of her 85 shots have been on
frame.
The Franklin, Tennessee native has tallied a season-high six
goals on three occasions, including in a victory against Catawba.
She was also a perfect 5-for-5 shooting in the season-opening win
against Converse. Crow has earned SAC Player of the Week honors on
two occasions.
Bray is a junior attacker from Collierville, Tennessee. She
leads the Pioneers with 51 draw controls while ranking second on
the team in goals (35), points (51), and assists (16). Bray has had
a perfect 100 percent shooting performance in three games,
including a season-high six goals on six shots in a win over
Chowan. She has also been named the SAC Offensive Player of the
Week twice this season.
Malone, a native of Maple Grove, Minnesota, has assisted on a
team-high 26 goals this season, which is second in the SAC and 12th
nationally. Her team-best 50 ground balls ranks 16th nationally and
she is the team leader in caused turnovers (21). The freshman
midfielder also owns the highest shots on goal percentage on the
team (.889). Malone had a season-high seven points on four goals
and three assists in a win at Newberry.
Wagner, a freshman goalie, is the SAC leader and ranks 13th
nationally in save percentage (.460). The Snellville, Georgia
native has given up the second fewest goals in the conference
(109), and is third in the SAC in goals-against average (12.06).
Her .571 win percentage is also third-best in the league.
Wagner made a season-high 17 saves in a win versus Chowan and
had 15 stops in a victory at Wingate. She was also named SAC
Defensive Player of the Week early in the year.
The third-seeded Pioneers will begin play in the 2015 SAC
Tournament tonight when they play host to sixth-seeded Coker
College in the quarterfinal round. First draw is set for 5 p.m. at
Pioneer Field.
