GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- The Tusculum College
women's lacrosse team has signed three student-athletes from
Seymour High School to national letters of intent announced TC head
coach Jenna Handshoe.
Joining the Pioneers for the 2014-2015 campaign will be the
Seymour, Tenn. trio of Lilian Lesniewski, Shelby Moon and Jessica
Donaldson.
Lesniewski is a 5-4 midfielder who led the team in points with 25 goals and seven assists. She is a three-year varsity starter where she earned All-Region honors and is serving as team captain this season.
"Lilian is the type of player every coach wants," said Handshoe. "She has the biggest heart on the field and will play through anything. Adding her quickness to the midfield and attack will help make us a more run-and-gun team."
Moon, a 5-6 attack, also earned All-Region accolades and led Seymour with nine assists. She is honor student, earning a spot on the 2014 U.S. Lacrosse All-Academic Team and is a two-year varsity letter-winner.
"Shelby has some of the best hands I have ever seen," added Handshoe. "She has patience with the ball that will be helpful when feeding it into our speedy midfielders."
Donaldson is a 5-6 All-County defender that led the Seymour team
with 11 caused turnovers. The 2014 co-captain is also a three-year
varsity starter.
"I have been able to watch Donaldson play and develop and she is
always learning from the game and making the extra effort to get
better," Handshoe said. "She is going to make a great addition to
our defensive unit."
