MT. PLEASANT, S.C. --- Tusculum freshman Reagan Padilla carded a 36-hole total of 150 and is tied for 16^th place individually following the opening day of the Low Tide Intercollegiate.

The Pioneers logged a two-round total of 643 and are in 15^th place. Tusculum opened with 325 to start their spring campaign, led by Padilla's 76. TU trimmed seven shots off its first round tally and posted 318 with Padilla's two-over par 74 being the low score for the Black and Orange.

Anderson is running away with the tournament after 36 holes as the Trojans posted scores of 286-290=576 (E) and leads by 17 shots over host Limestone (593). West Georgia is third with 600, followed by Carson-Newman (602), North Georgia (603), Lander (608), Montevallo (608), Columbus State (612), UNC Pembroke (615), Newberry (624), Erskine (626), Coker (629), Lenoir-Rhyne (630), Catawba (637), Tusculum and Davenport (657).

Anderson's Kennedy Gooding leads the race for the individual medal as she sits at nine-under par with 69-66=135 and is seven shots ahead teammate Jessica Rathbone who is second with 73-69=142.

Padilla's 76 to start the day including four birdies, two bogeys, three doubles and nine pars. He was +6 after the first 16 holes but birdied the final two to get to +4. She continued to play well to start the second round as she posted back-to-back birdies before following with three consecutive bogeys to move to +1 for her round. She would shoot one-over par golf the rest of the way to post her best collegiate round (74), besting her previous low of 75 at the Jekyll Island Intercollegiate in the fall.

Tusculum's Nilubol Panno is tied for 44^th with 80-76=156 and Emilie Bergh-Jacobsen is 74^th with 85-79=164. Lindsey Self posted 84-89=173 and is 86^th and Adrienne O'Brien posted 85-93=178 (92^nd).

The two-day, 54-hole tournament is being held at the par-72, 6,100-yard Dunes West Golf and River Club. The final 18 holes will be contested on Tuesday.
