ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. --- The Tusculum College women's golf team posted a two-day score of 648 and tied for 14th place at the Flagler Fall Slam. The 36-hole tournament was held at the par-72, 6,062-yard Marsh Creek Country Club and hosted by Flagler College.

The Pioneers fired a final round 319, sparked by freshman Cydney Murrell, who carded a season-low 75 on Tuesday.

Katie Tomassoni was the top TC finisher as he accounted for 79-77=156 to tie for 44th place. Murrell was second on the team with 83-75=158 as she carded a 49th place showing. Ciara Rattana finished with 80-82=162 to tie for 64th place and Taylor Lambertsen tallied rounds of 87-85=172 for 82nd. Taylor White rounded out the team scoring for Tusculum with 88-86=174 (86th). Blythe Scrivner, who was playing as an individual competitor, shot 82-91=173 to tie for 83rd.

Barry won the team championship as the Buccaneers shot 574 to edge runner Florida Tech by one stroke (575). Saint Leo was third with 591, followed by Montevallo (596), Seminole State (597), Lynn (598), California Baptist (601), Flagler (602), Armstrong State (607), Limestone (611), Tampa (626), King (631), Wingate (647), Tusculum, Columbus State (648), Embry Riddle (656) and North Georgia (665).

Tusculum returns to action this weekend as they host the second annual Pioneer Classic at Nolichucky View Golf Course. The Pioneers are the defending champions of this event.
