ROCK HILL, S.C. --- Tusculum College senior Sara Howard has been named to the All-South Atlantic Conference Women's Golf Second Team announced league officials on Thursday with the release of the 2014 SAC Golf Awards.

Howard leads the Pioneers with her 79.72 scoring average, which is the seventh lowest in program history. The South Doyle High School graduate has recorded six top-20 performances, while playing in all nine tournaments in her final collegiate campaign. She has finished in the top-10 on three occasions this year, including a fourth-place showing at the Patsy Rendleman Invitational last fall.

Howard has accounted for one of the finest playing careers in TC women's golf history. She has posted an 80.78 career stroke average, which is the third-best in school history. She has played in 82 competitive rounds during her career, which are tied for the fourth most in program history.

She has finished in the top-20 on 21 separate occasions, including 11 times in the top-10 and three times in the top-five.

At last year's SAC Championship, she tied for ninth place to earn a spot on the 2013 SAC All-Tournament Team.

She is a three-time WGCA All-America Scholar and has been a multi-year honoree on the SAC Commissioner's Honor Roll and the Tusculum Athletic Director's Honor Roll.

The 2014 Food Lion South Atlantic Conference Women's Golf Championship will be held this Sunday, Monday and Tuesday (Apr. 13-15) at the Sevierville Golf Club - Highlands Course in Sevierville, Tenn.
