Opening round of Agnes McAmis Memorial rained out

GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- Monday's opening round of the 17th annual Agnes McAmis Memorial Women's Golf Invitational, hosted by Tusculum College, has been rained out.

The tournament has been shortened to 18 holes and will be played on Tuesday beginning at 8:30 a.m. at Link Hills Country Club.

This marks only the second time that the McAmis Memorial will be an 18-hole event. In 2009, Belmont Abbey won the tournament title shooting 310. The 2000 event was shortened to 27 holes as the host Pioneers captured that team title.

Tusculum is the two-time defending champion of the McAmis Memorial as 15 teams, representing four states, will be vying for the final regular season tournament title of the 2013-14 campaign.
