COLUMBUS, Ga. --- Tusculum senior Sara Howard carded a three-round score of 244 to finish tied for 15th place at the 2014 TSYS Collegiate. The Pioneers wrapped up the two-day, 54-hole tournament with a final round 352 to finish with a team score of 1054 to finish ninth.

Howard shot an 84 in Tuesday's final round on the par-72, 5,821-yard layout of the Country Club of Columbus.

Lee University captured the team title as the Flames posted a 934, including Tuesday's 304 to finish five strokes ahead of runner-up Lander (939. Montevallo finished third with 950, followed by West Alabama (996), host Columbus State (1005), King (1017), North Georgia (1019), North Greenville (1031) and Tusculum.

Lee's Courtney Shelton led the tournament wire-to-wire with her winning score of 223, including a final day 74 to finish four shots in front of Elizabeth Swallow of King (227).

For Howard, it was her fourth top-20 finish this season and 19th of her stellar collegiate career.

Freshman Taylor Lambertsen finished 30th with 259, while sophomore Calley Lawson shot 273 to place 42nd. Alex Valeri carded a 281 to finish 46th, while sophomore Kelly Horrell finished 48th with 288. TC rookie Lindsay Butler finished 44th with 279, playing as an individual competitor.

The Pioneers return to action on Mar. 17-18 as they compete at the Pinehurst Challenge in Pinehurst, N.C.
