--- Blythe Scrivner has signed a national letter of intent to
attend Tusculum College and play golf for the Pioneers announced TC
women's coach Bob Dibble.
Scrivner, a native of Powell, Tenn., is completing her final season
at Grace Christian Academy in Knoxville where she is coached by
Britton Spann. She recorded five high school medalist victories in
2012, including the District championship. She finished runner up
at the 2012 Region Tournament.
Scrivner accounted for a very successful 2012 summer season on the
TGA Junior Tour where she accounted for four victories and three
runner-up performances. She also played in the TMACS/AAJGT
Tournament of Champions where she posted two wins and a runner-up
finish in her three events.
"Blythe is a young lady with exceptional talent who has improved
her game immensely in the last year," said Dibble. "She should be
an immediate impact player for us at Tusculum."
Tusculum College, located in Greeneville, Tenn., is affiliated with
the Presbyterian Church, USA and is a NCAA Division II member of
the South Atlantic Conference.
Tusculum, the oldest college in the State of Tennessee, sponsors 15
intercollegiate sports. Tusculum, the 28th oldest college in the
nation, is a liberal arts institution committed to providing a
liberal arts education in a Judeo-Christian and civic arts
environment, with pathways for career preparation, personal
development and civic engagement. Approximately twenty-one hundred
students are enrolled on the main campus in Greeneville and three
off-site locations in East Tennessee. The academic programs for
both traditional-aged students and working adults served through
the Graduate and Professional Studies program are delivered using
focused calendars whereby students enroll in one course at a
time.
