Tusculum ranked No. 23 in Golf World/NGCA Women's Poll

NEW YORK --- Tusculum College continues to be listed 23rd in the latest Golf World/National Golf Coaches Association Division II Women's Coaches' Poll announced officials.

The Pioneers are receiving 32 total points and are one of three South Atlantic Conference programs listed in the rankings.

The top three remain the same in the poll with Nova Southeastern, Florida Southern and St. Edward's holding down their previous positions. Lynn is fourth followed by Tarleton State, Barry, Grand Canyon, Northeastern State, Saint Leo and UNC Pembroke to comprise the top-10.

Grand Valley State is 11th, followed by Midwestern State, Newberry, Central Oklahoma, California (Pa.), Indianapolis, Western Washington, Augustana, Carson-Newman, Drury, Sonoma State, West Texas A&M, Tusculum, CSU-Monteray Bay and the Academy of Art.

Tusculum most recently finished fourth at the J. Ralph Hargett Memorial Intercollegiate in Charlotte as the Pioneers finished ahead of No. 10 UNC Pembroke and No. 19 Carson-Newman.

Tusculum will face Lincoln Memorial in a match play event this Saturday in Knoxville, Tenn. The Pioneers return to tournament play next Monday and Tuesday when they host the 15th annual Agnes McAmis Memorial at Link Hills Country Club.
