ANDERSON, S.C. --- Tusculum's Jillian Corum captured medalist honors with back-to-back rounds of 76 to lead the Pioneer women's golf team to the championship of the 2010 Anderson Invitational. Tusculum finished with 648, including Tuesday's round of 326 to win by seven shots over second place Pfeiffer (648).

Corum (76-76=152) wins her second collegiate tournament of her young career, edging out Lenoir-Rhyne's Katie Thackerson by one shot (78-75=153). Tusculum senior Emily Palenkas finished third with 79-77=156, while rookie Sarah Howard tied for 10th place with 81-84=165. Haley Rye tied for 28th with 86-89=175, while junior Aly Pugh shot 87-92=184 to finish 34th. Katie Doane, playing as an individual competitor, posted 85-79=164 to finish in ninth place.

Lenoir-Rhyne finished third with 665 in the team competition. Lincoln Memorial and host Anderson tied for fourth place with 666, followed by Limestone (707), Erskine (709), North Greenville (718) and St. Andrews Presbyterian (718).

The Pioneers return to action Sept. 27-28 when they host the Tusculum Fall Classic at Link Hills Country Club.
