GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- Tusculum College women's
golfer Suzanne Sisco was the inaugural recipient
of the "Bob Dibble Spirit of the Game Award"
announced officials last month. The award is named in honor of the
long-time Tusculum coach and is selected by the South Atlantic
Conference women's golf coaches.
The "Bob Dibble Spirit of the Game Award" recognizes the South
Atlantic Conference women's golf team member that demonstrates a
genuine love of the game, outstanding character, leadership and
places team before self.
Sisco, a senior from Fairfield, Ohio, was a four-year
letter-winner on the Pioneers women's golf team. This season, she
posted an 87.70 stroke average, which was fourth best on the team.
She recorded four top 25 finishes, including a 17th place showing
at the SAC Championship.
She is President of the Pioneer Student Athlete Council (SAAC) and
led several fundraisers for the "Make-A-Wish Foundation." Sisco
volunteers with Habitat for Humanity and assisted with the Toys for
Kids program, which collects toys for disadvantaged children during
the holidays.
Sisco is a member of the SAC Commissioner's Honor Roll and the
Tusculum Athletic Director's Honor Roll. Last season, she was named
to the NGCA All-American Scholar.
Tusculum College, located in Greeneville, Tenn., is affiliated
with the Presbyterian Church, USA and is a NCAA Division II member
of the South Atlantic Conference which is comprised of nine
colleges and universities in Tennessee, North Carolina and South
Carolina.
