Robbins 16th, Pioneers 11th after day two of Bearcat Open

FAIRVIEW HEIGHTS, Ill. --- The Tusculum University's Allison Robbins totaled 987 pins in her five traditional matches as the Pioneers wrapped up day two action at the McKendree Bearcat Open.

The Pioneers totaled 4,235 pins in their five contests on Saturday, moving their weekend pinfall to 8,598 and are in 11th place.

Tusculum opened the day against No. 3 Nebraska as the Cornhuskers came away with a 927-830 win. TU followed with defeats against Quincy (913-875) and Mercyhurst (1054-969). Tusculum dropped a 947-764 decision to No. 21 Central Missouri before ending the day's action with a 1043-797 loss to host and defending national champion McKendree.

Robbins opened with a 184, before posting games of 201 and 225. She had a 168 in her fourth game before posting her third 200 game of the day with 209 and is 16th individually.

Tusculum's Alexa Tieto finished 34th overall with 848 pins while Emilee Horton is 36th with 808. Shayna Long was 38th with 801 pins, while Savannah Price wrapped up the TU scoring with 791 in her five games.

The Pioneers (0-9) will play bracket play Sunday to wrap up their stay in Fairview Heights.
