GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- Tusculum University forward Ni'Kiah Chesterfield has been named to the South Atlantic Conference Women's Basketball All-Freshman team for the 2023-24 season, the SAC announced Monday.

Chesterfield, a 6-footer from Murfreesboro, Tennessee, led the Pioneers in scoring (12.4 points per game), rebounding (5.7 per game) and blocked shots (1.04 per game) while playing all 26 games (25 starts). Chesterfield scored in double figures 17 times and recorded three double-doubles, while leading the team in scoring 10 times.

Chesterfield scored a season-high 27 points against Newberry on Feb. 3 and had a season-best 15 rebounds at Lenoir-Rhyne on Jan. 27. She shot 50 percent or better from the field 15 times, including 10-for-13 (76.9 percent) in a 24-point performance against Coker on Feb. 24.

For the season, Chesterfield was seventh in the SAC in field-goal shooting (51.1 percent) and sixth in foul shooting at 82.5 percent, while ranking ninth in blocked shots per game.

Joining Chesterfield on the All-Freshman team are Freshman of the Year Kamari Thompson of Coker, Trinity Breedlove of Wingate, Gracyn Hall of Emory & Henry and Tateyoina Harris of Mars Hill.
