In a back and forth contest that saw 12 ties and 16 lead changes, momentum swung early in the second half when the Tornados received three straight three-pointers from Asheley Watkins, Micheala Watkins and Tempestt Mack to turn a 38-32 deficit into a 41-38 lead with 13:12 left.

The first half saw the Pioneers take an early 9-5 lead thanks to four field goals from Thurman in the first four minutes, but a quick 5-0 run from the Tornados gave them a 17-16 lead with 10:23 left in the first half.

Brevard went ahead 22-20 on two free throws by Taylor Hiatt with 7:00 to play in the half, but the Pioneers regained the lead at 23-22 as Anderson sank a three-pointer with 5:30 remaining.
