TUSCULUM Women's BASKETBALL LISTED IN NCAA STATISTICS


INDIANAPOLIS --- The Tusculum College Women's basketball team is once again ranked fifth in the nation in scoring according to this week's NCAA Division II statistics announced College officials Tuesday.

The Pioneers (23-3, 12-1 in South Atlantic Conference) are averaging 80.4 points per game, which is also the best in the league. TC is also listed seventh in the country in assist/turnover ratio (1.15), 11th in won-lost percentage (88.5%), 13th in field goal percentage (45.8%), 15th in assists per game (17.7 apg), 18th in scoring margin (+14.6), 19th in turnovers per game (15.4 tpg), 21st in blocked shots per game (4.5 bpg), 23rd in three-point field goals made per game (7.2) and 23rd in three-point percentage (36.7%).

Individually, freshman guard Jasmine Gunn (Nashville, Tenn.) is ranked in two categories, including 15th in assists per game (6.0 apg) and 44th in assist/turnover ratio (1.7). Sophomore forward Stephany Neptune (Wallkill, N.Y.) is 12th in the nation in rebounding (10.6 rpg) and 45th in blocked shots per game (1.7 bpg).

Juniors Ashli Oliver (Kokomo, Ind.) and Nikki Van Dine (Columbus, Ohio) are ranked amongst the best three-point shooters in the land. Oliver is listed ninth in three-point field goals made per game (3.2) while Van Dine is seventh in three-point percentage (46.1%) and 39th in treys per game (2.5).

The Pioneers (No. 21 in NCAA Division II) will close out their regular season on Wednesday when they travel to Mars Hill College for a 6 p.m. contest with the Lady Lions. TC has already clinched at least a share of the SAC Championship and can claim the outright title with a victory on Wednesday. Tusculum is riding an eight-game winning streak and has won 20 of its last 21 games.
