Timothy Young joined the Tusculum University track & field program as a graduate assistant coach in the fall of 2023.

Young is a 2022 graduate of Wingate University, where he competed in jumps and sprints for the Bulldogs. Young placed third in both the long jump and triple jump at the 2022 South Atlantic Conference Outdoor Championship, after finishing third in the triple jump and sixth in the long jump at the 2022 SAC Indoor Championship.

The Kingston, Jamaica native posted career bests of 7.14 meters (23 feet, 5 1/4 inches) in the long jump and 14.59 meters (47 feet, 10 1/2 inches) in the triple jump as a senior, while earning event wins in the long jump during the 2022 indoor season and the triple jump during the 2022 outdoor campaign.

Young began his collegiate career at Nova Southeastern University, where he still holds the school record in the long jump (7.07 meters) set during the 2019 season.

Young has been involved in summer camps in his hometown of Kingston, beginning as a counselor before moving into logistical administration. Young was a graduate assistant in the office of graduate admissions at Missisippi College during the 2022-23 academic year.

Young is pursuing his MBA from Tusculum after earning a bachelor of science degree in sport management from Wingate in May, 2022.
