Sam Peters joined the Tusculum University track & field program as a graduate assistant coach in the fall of 2023.
Peters earned a bachelor's degree in sport management from Lincoln Memorial University in the spring of 2023. At LMU, Peters ran both the 400 and 4x400 relay, with a career-best outdoor time of 49.70 seconds in the 400.
Peters was part of a 4x400 relay at Lincoln Memorial that finished sixth indoors and ninth outdoors at the 2023 SAC Championships. He also earned a seventh-place finish in the 400 meters at the 2022 SAC Indoor Championship.
A native of Madisonville, Tennessee, Peters is pursuing a masters degree in sport management from Tusculum. He holds a Level 1 Coaching Certification from USA Track & Field.
